The Myllie Taylor Community Service Award will be awarded during the annual La Mirada Mayor’s Prayer Breakfast to an individual, a community based organization, or a business that has met the following criteria:
The individual, organization, or business must reside within, be located within, work within, or conduct their community service activities within the city of La Mirada.
The recipient could receive this award for a single incident, event, or activity or could be based upon multiple years of community service activities given selflessly of their/its time and talents, making extraordinary contributions to the City of La Mirada. The award can be given posthumously as well.
Nominations will be sought from the community at large until March 15, 2022. All nominations must be submitted on a formal nomination form signed by the nominator. Anonymous nominations will not be considered. Only one nomination per person may be submitted. The La Mirada Mayor’s Prayer Breakfast will be held on Friday, April 29, 2022, at 7 AM at Holiday Inn, La Mirada, 14299 Firestone Blvd.
The honoree/recipient, the nominator, and one additional guest will be hosted at the Annual Mayor’s Prayer Breakfast. All recipients/honorees will be required to sign information, photo release forms, and publication rights.
Nominations will be reviewed and the honoree selected by a nominating committee.
